These terms are an agreement between you and Stafford DSouza, trading as The Paws Company (“we”, “us”) for your use of the Pawlytics app and website. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
1. Not veterinary advice
Pawlytics helps you understand and organise your pet's records. Summaries, health statuses, trends and assistant replies are generated automatically, are informational only, and may be incomplete or wrong. They are not a diagnosis or treatment plan and do not replace a veterinarian.
Always consult your veterinarian before acting on anything in the app. If your pet may be in an emergency, contact a vet or emergency clinic immediately; do not wait for the app.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and give an email address you control.
- Keep your sign-in details secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- Tell us promptly if you think your account has been accessed without permission.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of the documents, photos and pet details you add. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the service to you, including sending them to the providers named in our privacy policy. Only upload records you have the right to share.
4. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service, including by:
- uploading content that is unlawful or that isn't yours to share;
- trying to access other users' data or our systems without permission;
- disrupting, overloading or reverse engineering the service, except where the law allows;
- using the app to give veterinary advice to others.
5. AI features
Document reading and the assistant rely on a third-party AI model. Where a value can't be read with confidence it may be left blank. The assistant answers only from your pet's records and may decline questions. Emergency warnings are triggered by keywords and will not catch every emergency.
6. The service
Pawlytics is currently provided [free of charge]. We may add, change or remove features, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. We will give reasonable notice of changes that significantly affect you.
7. Liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions made about your pet's health based on the app, or for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. [Insert any liability cap.]
8. Ending your use
You can stop using Pawlytics and delete your account in the app at any time, which permanently removes your data as described in our privacy policy. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates], and disputes fall under the courts of [jurisdiction].
